BELLATAIRE DIAMONDS
Trice Jewelers also has an incredible selection of rare Bellataire diamonds. These are truly spectacular diamonds, incredibly rare, and very brilliant.
Bellataire Diamonds are extremely rare Type IIa diamonds that were originally crystallized without color and were destined to become extraordinary gems. During their journey to the surface of the Earth through volcanic pipes, though, these crystals were subjected to intense heat, tremendous pressure, and explosive turbulence. These conditions caused some molecular misalignment in these crystals, resulting in a brownish color and internal stress. Although not common, that internal stress can get worse and actually cleave the diamond.
The Bellataire technique simply provides comparable conditions of heat and pressure, allowing these crystals to spontaneously relieve themselves of their molecular stress and return to their proper alignment and their original colorless state. It is then permanently restored to its natural color and relived of any internal stress. "The Diamond Nature Intended". Only a small percentage of diamonds are eligible for this restoration. Type IIa diamonds are extremely rare in their virtual absence of nitrogen. Only approximately 1% of all diamonds are nitrogen-free and only nitrogen-free diamonds can become eligible for this restoration.
There is a very small supply of these diamonds and only a few high-end jewelers were selected to represent Bellataire within the US. They are all GIA Certified, Laser inscribed and perfectly cut. Bellataire diamonds are an incredible value and have outstanding brilliance.
